Leeds Golf Centre Teed Up For Sale

Leeds Golf Centre in Shadwell, Leeds is up for sale with offers invited in excess of £1.5m.

The owners of the golf centre on Wike Ridge Lane are hoping to sell the site and business as a going concern, after submitting a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) proposal.

The entire site extends to 143 acres and represents a unique opportunity to acquire land in this area of North Leeds according to the Leeds office of chartered surveyors Eddisons who are acting for the vendors.

John Padgett of Eddisons said: ‘North Leeds is a one of the most highly sought after parts of the region and is often referred to as the ‘Golden Triangle’. It is unprecedented in my experience that 143 acres of land of this nature has come to market.

‘There is enormous scope to extend the site and facilities and possible longer term potential for part of the site to be developed for residential purposes.

‘This is reflected in the amount of interest we are already seeing which should result in a speedy sale.’

In addition to the Donald Steele designed 18 hole par 71, 6,632 yard golf course the site also includes a 12 hole academy course, a 20 bay floodlit driving range and full practice facilities.

Off course facilities include a club house with function room and a large Professional’s shop.

Leeds Golf Centre is in an area which already boasts some of the country’s best golf courses, including Moortown, Alwoodley, Sand Moor and Moor Allerton.
