Eddisons Secure New Tenants For Ilkley Retail Premises

The Bradford office of leading chartered surveyors Eddisons has concluded a deal on two prime retail units in the town centre.

The units on Grove Promenade which have a frontage to the main public car park extend to 640 sq ft and have been let to Craggs Shoe Repairs on a ten year lease off an asking rental of £23,000 per annum.

Jonathan O’Connor of Eddisons said: ‘These are prime retail units in a popular part of the town. We were able to conclude the deal with the new tenant very quickly following vacation of the previous tenants in order to maintain our clients’ rental income.’

Eddisons also carry out all dilapidations work on the units which make up the Promenade on behalf of the Landlord, Synergy Properties.

Craggs Shoe Repairs is a well established family business with existing shops in Leeds city centre, Moor Allerton, Crossgates and Wetherby.

Meanwhile, Eddisons has also been instructed on a residential development site at Brookfield Croft, Bolling Road in the town.

The 1.9 acre site has planning permission for 19 two bedroom apartments with 31 car parking spaces and offers are invited in excess of £1million.

‘It is very rare for this type of land to become available in Ilkley and I anticipate strong interest from developers who will appreciate the site’s huge potential,’ commented John Padgett, Eddisons Head of Agency.
