Leading commercial property agent, Eddisons has appointed Emma Johnson and John McNeill as associate directors – a move that sees the two become the youngest employees to hold such a position in the company’s 160-year history.
Johnson (29) joined the company as a graduate trainee in 2002 and, following her successful completion of the popular scheme, joined the company’s auction department. She moved into valuations in 2004 and was given the role of head of valuations (Manchester) in early 2007.
Meanwhile, McNeill (31) is another graduate trainee scheme success story. Having joined Eddisons in 1999, he worked in its Bradford office until September 2002. And in 2004, after an 18-month stint with another regional agency, he rejoined the company to head up its office agency department (Leeds).
Commenting on the promotions, managing director Nigel McDonald said: “The benefit of our graduate programme is easy to see when people of the calibre of Emma and John come through it. And although their age does make them the youngest to hold associate directorships in the company’s long history, it wasn’t an issue when making the decision. If you’re good enough, you’re old enough.”
