Deals Success For Leeds Office

The Leeds office of leading chartered surveyors Eddisons has announced a number of recently completed deals.

These include a substantial former residential care home in Headingley which was sold on behalf of Abbeyfield Bradford Society to Triple A Lets off an asking price of £400,000.

Meanwhile, the firm has sold The Basket Works industrial complex in Ossett on behalf of administrators Begbies Traynor.

The complex which occupies a site of 3 acres and extends to 55,000 sq ft was bought by Precious Holdings (Wakefield) Ltd off an asking price of £1.5m.

A sale has also been achieved on 21 acres of agricultural land in Howley Hall Lane, Morley which was bought by a private individual off an asking price of £250,000.

Jill Gittus of Eddisons said: ‘We are delighted to have concluded these deals on behalf of our clients despite the tough current economic conditions. It proves there is still an appetite for good quality commercial units and land around West Yorkshire.’

Eddisons has also completed three major new lettings across the Yorkshire area.

The Yorkshire Ambulance Service has taken a twenty year lease on a modern warehouse unit on the popular Wakefield 41 Industrial Estate.

The unit which extends to 17,643 sq ft was let on behalf of the joint LPA Receivers off an asking rent of £80,000 per annum.

‘The fact that we have secured a significant lease with such a good tenant makes this an extremely attractive investment opportunity for an investor looking for rental income,’ commented Jill Gittus.

A letting has also been concluded with Boots Group Plc for a retail unit in Sherburn in Elmet. The property on Finkle Hill extends to 4,318 sq ft over two floors and was let off an asking rent of £40,000 per annum.
